While studying at Illinois State University, I was tasked with designing a wooden doll on Adobe Illustrator. The application connected to a wooden laser cutter machine that would physically engrave and cut out the design. I wanted to use the concept of layering by cutting out each clothing piece and various hair pieces out individually. Doing this added a very nice level of depth to this otherwise 2D figure.
